How to get Facebook order alerts on Telegram
Short answer: Tanet Chat sends Facebook order alerts to Telegram — there is no SMS or email channel. You pair a Telegram account once from Dashboard › Settings using a one-time code, and up to three phones per shop then get every confirmed order, captured lead and handoff request within seconds. Replying to an alert sends your message straight back to that customer on Messenger.
An order is confirmed at 11:40pm. If you find out at 9am, you have lost the night's packing time, and the customer has had ten hours to change their mind about a cash-on-delivery order they have not paid for yet.
So how the alert reaches you matters nearly as much as the order.
Why alerts go to Telegram and not SMS or email
Telegram is the only push channel Tanet Chat has. That is a decision, not a missing feature:
- It costs nothing per message. A shop doing 40 orders a day, plus leads, price alerts and handoffs, is several thousand notifications a month. On SMS that is a bill.
- It is two-way. You can reply to an alert and the reply reaches the customer. An SMS can only tell you something happened.
- It carries the whole thing. Full delivery address, phone number, custom fields, the customer's exact question — none of it cut to 160 characters.
Email is used for login links and application mail. It never carries an order alert. If you never pair Telegram, orders and leads still land in your dashboard — you just have to go and look.
Install Telegram on the phone you actually keep next to you, and leave its notifications on.
Pairing takes about a minute
- Open Dashboard › Settings › Telegram Push Alerts.
- Press Generate Pairing Link. You get a code that looks like
pair_A1B2C3. It is valid for 10 minutes. - Tap Send to Telegram — it opens the bot (
@kronxrepbot, still carrying the old brand name) with the code already filled in. Or copy the code and send it to the bot as a normal message. - The bot replies with a confirmation naming your business. You are paired.
- Press Broadcast Test in Settings. A test message should arrive on every paired phone.
If the bot says the code is invalid, it expired. Generate a new one — nothing is broken.
Three accounts per business is the current limit, on every plan: you, your helper, whoever packs. Every alert goes to all three, and you can remove one any time with the trash icon in Settings. The per-plan seat counts shown on the pricing page are not enforced yet — three is what the dashboard allows on every plan, free or paid.
What an order alert actually says
A confirmed order arrives looking like this:
🛒 New Order Confirmed
Customer: Rima Akter (7218…)
Product: Cotton kurti — sky blue
Qty: 2
Total Price: 2900 BDT
Contact: 01712345678
Address: House 14, Road 6, Dhanmondi, Dhaka
District: Dhaka
Any custom order fields you configured — size, colour, courier preference — are appended under a Custom Fields heading. If a field you marked mandatory is missing, the same alert arrives with an Incomplete Order Warning header, which is your signal to ask the customer for the missing piece before you pack anything.
A lead is a shorter message: the customer's name, the contact number they gave, and a pointer to the inbox. It fires when someone hands over a phone number without committing to an order — worth a follow-up while they still remember you.
Replying to an alert answers the customer
Use Telegram's reply function on the alert itself, not a new message. The reply is matched back to that exact conversation.
| Alert you reply to | What your reply does |
|---|---|
| Order, lead, handoff or sensitive-topic alert | Your text is sent to the customer on Messenger, saved to the conversation, and the AI pauses on that chat |
| Order edit request that asks you to confirm | YES applies the change and tells the customer; NO declines it |
| Payment confirmed | delivered, confirmed or cancelled updates the order status |
After a manual reply the AI pauses on that conversation for your resume delay — 30 minutes unless you changed it in Settings — so it never talks over you mid-negotiation. It picks up again on the customer's next message once the delay has passed, and texts you when it does.
Reply to an alert that is very old and the bot will say it cannot link the message. That one you handle from the dashboard inbox.
When the bot is unsure, it stops and asks you
The agent does not guess when it is out of its depth. It sends the customer a short holding line — "Ektu check kore apnake janacchi!" — stops, and texts you:
🙋 The agent needs your help
Customer: Rima Akter
Asked: "eta ki cash on delivery e Rangpur e jabe?"
💬 Reply to this message and I'll send your answer
straight to the customer. (Bot paused for 30 min.)
How eagerly it does this is yours to set, in Agent Config › Escalation to you:
| Level | It texts you when |
|---|---|
| Autonomous | only when the customer explicitly asks for a human |
| Lean | …plus genuine unknowns it cannot answer from your data |
| Balanced (default) | …plus complaints, a negotiation hitting your price floor, edit or cancel requests, sensitive topics, payment problems |
| Cautious | …plus bulk, custom and return questions, and anything it is uncertain about |
| High-touch | …plus most non-trivial decisions |
Individual checkboxes override whichever level you pick, and there is a taka threshold — text me on any confirmed order over ৳X. There is a second route into the same alert: if the model rates its own answer low-confidence, it hands off even when no rule was triggered.
If nobody has paired a Telegram account, the agent still stops and flags the chat. The phone in your pocket just stays silent.
The conversation is marked "needs attention" in the dashboard inbox, and there it sits until somebody opens the dashboard. Pair at least one account before you rely on any of this — and see who answers your Facebook inbox at 3am for why the overnight window is the one that costs you.
Two morning summaries, and only one is on by default
Both are delivered to the same paired accounts.
The short daily brief goes to every paired shop: yesterday's conversation count, order count and revenue in taka, around 9am in your shop's timezone. There is no on-off switch for it in the dashboard.
The Morning Brief Digest, further down the Settings page, is richer and off until you turn it on and save it. Once it is on you choose the hour, the timezone (Dhaka by default), and which sections to include: a KPI summary, overnight orders, new leads, conversations needing attention, floor-breach attempts. Preview Today shows exactly what it would send; Send Test Now pushes the same thing to your phone.
Two controls on that panel are not wired up yet: the digest is written in English whatever the language dropdown says, and Low Stock Warnings produces nothing. Everything else there works.
Both briefs run on a schedule on our side, not on your phone. If a test broadcast arrives but a brief never does, that is the schedule and not your settings — tell support instead of re-pairing.
How to turn off the alerts you do not want
A phone you have muted out of frustration is the same as no alerts at all. Agent Config › Telegram Notification Rules has a switch per event type — orders, leads, price alerts, payment success, bot resumed, security alerts — plus Silent Notifications, which delivers with no sound. Below those, Custom Notification Logic is a free-text box holding a plain rule the agent applies before it decides to alert you, for example "Only alert for orders above 1000 BDT".
Handoff alerts deliberately have no switch. When the agent needs a human, it will text you.
Set this up this week
- Pair one account and run Broadcast Test. If it does not arrive, nothing else on this page is working either.
- Pair your helper's phone — up to three.
- Leave escalation on Balanced, and set the high-value threshold to the order size you want to see yourself.
- Check your price floor before you turn escalation down; how much discount to give when a customer bargains covers where that number should sit.
- Turn on the Morning Brief Digest, save it, then press Send Test Now. Unsaved, there is no config for the test to build from and nothing arrives.

Common questions
How do I connect Telegram to Tanet Chat?
Open Dashboard › Settings › Telegram Push Alerts and press Generate Pairing Link. You get a code like pair_A1B2C3 that is valid for 10 minutes. Tap "Send to Telegram" to open the bot with the code already filled in, or copy the code and send it to the bot yourself. The bot replies confirming which business you are now linked to.
Why does Tanet Chat use Telegram instead of SMS?
Telegram is free per message, carries a full address and custom fields without truncating, and is two-way — you can reply to an alert and your reply is delivered to the customer on Messenger. An SMS notification can only tell you something happened. Telegram is currently the only push channel; email is used for login and application mail only.
Can I reply to a customer from Telegram?
Yes. Use Telegram's reply function on the alert itself, not a new message. Your text is sent to that customer on Messenger, saved in the conversation history, and the AI pauses on that chat for your resume delay — 30 minutes unless you changed it — so it does not talk over you.
What happens if nobody has paired a Telegram account?
Nothing is lost, but nobody is told. When the agent hands off it still pauses itself and marks the conversation "needs attention" in the dashboard inbox. The order, the lead and the customer's question are all still there — you just have to open the dashboard to find them.
Can I turn some alerts off?
Yes. Agent Config › Telegram Notification Rules has a toggle per event type — orders, leads, price alerts, payment success, bot resumed, security alerts — plus a silent-delivery switch that sends without a sound. Handoff alerts have no toggle, because a handoff nobody sees is a customer sitting and waiting.
